My process of professional organizing.
- INITIAL CONTACT CALL OR SETTING UP APPT. During our first conversation, we will discuss which room you need organized, what problems you have in the room and why it's not working for you.
- DO NOT CLEAN. Do not try to clean or straighten the room and/or space to be organized before I arrive. To fully understand what the problem is, I need to assess the situation and figure out what your habits are.
- DEFINE THE PURPOSE OF YOUR SPACE. What is the main purpose of the room? Is it just for sleeping, dining or entertaining? Is it a multi-functional room? You need to decide what you most want to get out of this space.
- TO TOSS OR NOT TO TOSS. One misconception of an organizer is that they will throw out all of your "stuff." This is simply not true. My job is to help you sort through your belongings and decide whether it is going in the KEEP, TOSS or DONATE/SELL pile. I make suggestions, but ultimately you will make the final decision on what stays or what goes.
- DONATIONS. One of the benefits I offer my clients is that whatever I can fit in my vehicle, I will haul away to the place of your choice - FREE OF CHARGE!!!
- HOME ORGANIZING. I will make suggestions throughout our decluttering process of items and/or products that could help you stay organized. If you're interested, I can mail or e-mail you information on the products and let you decide if that is something you would like to invest in.
- MY GOAL. My goal is that when we are done organizing your room/space, you will stay organized. I want to make sure that we organize the space with what works best for you and your family. I want you to continue to keep up with it and not fall back to your old habits. A CLUTTERED SPACE WILL RESULT IN A CLUTTERED MIND, WHICH IN TURN CREATES STRESS!!
- CONFIDENTIALITY. All appointments with my clients are confidential. Your name will never be used unless a consent form is signed so I may use you as a reference.
